About Nikko

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: SC
* { font:inherit; } You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Nikko and his brother, Powder were scooped up and taken to a shelter after they ran across a busy street and almost got hit--we are not sure of their mix---Nikko has a gorgeous taupe coat and white blaze--his brother his black with a white blaze--- They were born approx Jan 2013 and were at the shelter for a few months before being rescued---So they are still learning everything a puppy needs to know----We want them have a family that has the time and patience to teach a puppy what they need to know---Since they were strays we do not know how big they will get--they maybe a larger med dog or maybe get bigger than that---probably no more than 50-60 pounds. But again we are not sure- If you are looking for a sweet boy or two--please contact us about Nikko and /or Powder   They do not have to be adopted together--but we probably will require that they have a doggy playmate at their new home Contact leeselman@comcast.net All of our dogs are spayed/ neutered before adoption. Adult dogs have had their core vaccines---parvo, distemper, bordatella, and rabies, All dogs are tested and are heartworm negative.  In addition they have been de-wormed and kept on heartworm prevention and flea prevention while in foster care. Most dogs come with a micr-chip already implanted. Adoption fees range from 235.00- 275.00 depending on the dog. Many times the adoption fee does not even cover the cost of all of the vetting we have done for a dog.   In addition, some of our dogs are fostered in the South and come up once adopted---There is an additional transport fee for these dogs.  Please contact the person listed in the bio for more information on a particular dog. We are very careful in placing our dogs--and look for the best home for each dog--All of our dogs are fostered in private homes, with fosters who get to know the dogs and know the types of home that would be best for each dog. Thank you for considering a rescued pet and we look forward to helping you find a great dog match--
