Abbot is an awesome dog...! He is about 5 or 6 yrs old basically healthy great teeth blind as a bat but then again so am I when I take off my glasses! Do not let his blindness deter you from considering him once he learns the layout of the house he does just fine negotiates stairs like a pro and loves to be where ever his favorite person is...he is a low key guy rarely barks great appetite friendly and sweet. We do not classify him as a special needs pet because once he is shown the ropes he is a normal dog. He was abandoned at a vetâs office and we really can't figure out why because he is well behaved listens is friendly with everyone.He weighs about 18 lbs. and gets along fine with the other dogs here in our foster home. He has been vaccinated neutered is heartworm negative and behaves like a housetrained dog. He loves to lay on your lap and be rocked to sleep just like a child. He is content just to lay at your feet walks well on a leash and likes to ride in the car. He would make a great companion for anyone of any age.
