Hello! My name is Bandit but it doesn't suit me at all. I'm a very sweet and well-behaved boy more poet than bandit. I'm a three year old black Lab mystery mix but I'm not stocky like a Lab. I'm slimmer and have a more delicate build--and a more delicate psyche. I play well with other dogs but I wish there weren't soooo many of them. My foster mom has a lot of dogs and I do mean A LOT. I wouldn't mind having one or two doggy companions but this is ridiculous! In fact it's downright stressful. And that leads me to another point. I am somewhat timid and easily stressed especially in unfamiliar situations. I nearly died of fright the first time my foster mom put a leash on me but it only took a few minutes for me to get the hang of it and now I walk nicely on a leash--at least I do in our own yard. In public? Well we haven't tried that yet and I don't want to! Right now my foster mom is trying to convince me that car rides are fun and I have to admit that I do enjoy the hamburgers she buys me but who knows what she'll want to do once I'm comfortable riding in a car? I dread to think! My point is that I need someone who is patient and kind to help me build my confidence. It takes me a while to settle in but I am loving and eager to please once I know I'm safe. My stats: neutered male 3-years old 42 pounds crate trained microchipped heartworm negative current vaccinations. Foster Mom's Note: I think Bandit would blossom in a quiet home with one or two adults to lavish him with love and attention. He is by nature gentle and affectionate and I think he would benefit greatly by some quiet one-on-one with a patient loving adult. He is not a suitable pet for a home with small children or cats.
